I think most of us in the US, and perhaps elsewhere, will forever remember September 11, 2001. Because I still feel so affected by that day, I felt it appropriate to challenge you to do "In Memorium" creations. By this I mean creations made for those who have lost loved ones (sympathy cards/creations) or even a creation in memory of someone special in your life. Please remember, it doesn't have to be a card to enter. Here's what happened for me -
The Girlfriends will have inspiration for you, so please give their blogs a visit. I would love for you to join us this week in sharing your "In Memorium" creations.
Happy Wednesday, all! I hope everyone is enjoying the first bit of September. This week the challenge is "Nice & Clean" which just means that we'd like to see clean cards...so think clean lines, minimal embellishments, not a lot of bulk, nothing too busy, not too technique heavy, no fancy folds etc. Another way to describe it would be CAS but without the simple part. No "white" space needed. (That said, CAS projects would certainly fit the challenge too!) I hope that makes sense to everyone! And remember, we're not just about cards....you could make a bookmark, layout, pocket page, altered item, tag - any papercraft goes!
This is what I did....
As you can see, I've got clean lines, no embellishments, not too many layers and an fairly simply (but definitely adorable) panda enjoying his flower. Nothing complicated here.
If you want more inspiration be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made. Then head on back here and link up your digi project.
Happy Wednesday, all! This week we're all about food! We want to see your projects that have any kind of food on them, if you can eat it, it's in! And remember, we're not just about cards....you could make a bookmark, layout, pocket page, altered item, tag - any papercraft goes!
This is what I did.....
That birthday cake sure qualifies as something to eat, especially with all that icing. Yummy!
