Challenge #35 - Tags!

Happy Little Red Wagon Wednesday to everyone!

For this week's challenge, I thought it would be fun to play tag :) Tags are so versatile, so I thought it would be fun to see a tag that you have made, used, altered, or added to a card or layout!

For inspiration I actually made a tag and also used a tag...

For my first little project, I started with a rectangular journal card that I cut into a tag shape. Then I added some bits of paper, some buttons, twine and mini alpha stickers! The papers are from Echo Park and the alpha stickers are from October Afternoon.

Next, I couldn't resist this adorable little tag element from the same line from Echo Park, so I turned it into a quick card.

I added a bit of Glossy Accents for some highlights and a bit of ribbon.

So there you have it! Two cute tags that I hope will inspire you to play along this week. Be sure to link up your creation - I can't wait to see what you have made ♥

Challenge # 34 - Happy Canada Day!

Hey all,

It is my (DEE) turn to pick and I have chosen to make everyone make a Canada Day card (or July 4th, if that suits your location). I have never made a Canada Day card so I thought this would be a perfect time... I love Canada!

Photobucket

It is a little 3" x 5.5" card, you know me... I love a weird shaped card! :)

Hope you can play!

Happy Wednesday! Hope your week is going well! I can hardly believe we are on challenge #33! If you haven't guessed from the title, this week I'm challenging you to create something with beads on it.

I decided to create a card and placed beads in the centre of the flowers and on the ends of my bow accent.

We'd love to see what you make using beads so please link up your creation below. And thanks so much for playing along with us each week! We love to see all that creativity out there!

Altered Embellishment Highlights

I am so impressed with what everyone came up with this week for an altered embelishment! Here are just a few of the really cool ideas I saw!
Piali coloured her ribbon with Distress ink. She also coloured the pearls to match the shade of green.

Melanie Risk did not have any red brads so she coloured pink ones with her copics. The wire was brass coloured and she also coloured these both red and blue with her copics!

Kathryn at KTC - Used chandelier earring drops from her jewelry-making supplies to make a “metal charm” for the super-sparkly flower near the top.

Bronwyn used a strip of Doodlebug's Fancy Frills in red to create tiny blossoms on her tree. She cut them apart and "stickled" them in the middle:

Thanks everyone for participating this week and don't forget to check back tomorrow for a brand new challenge for the week!

Little Red Wagon #31 - Altered Embelishment

Well... it is hump day again and this week is just flying by! The challenge this week is to alter an embelishment in some way or form... sometimes when searching through my stash I find I don't have the right colour of something or I just want something a little different! There are so many things that you can do now adays with Embellishments! You can colour brads, staples with copics, sharpies, or by embossing them. You can change the colour of your ribbons etc... for the card I created this week I wanted to give my brads a flocked look to them so I applied some glossy accents to my metal mini brads and dipped them into some yellow flock! See the picture below...

Now you must be wondering by now why I would want yellow flocked brads! Well the card below explains it all!!!

I wanted them for the centres of some flowers! I am looking forward to seeing all that you have to share this week with us! Please make sure to link up your projects below! Happy Scrapping!
Details for the card: Cricut cartridge - Straight from the Nest, Ribbon is PTI. Patterned paper is My Mind's Eye - glitter Home stack I cut the flowers twice and crumpled the second layer a little then pop dotted them off the first flower!
