Challenge #424 That's A Wrap!

Hi Everyone!
It's Sandy, and I am this week's hostess.  Our theme this week is "That's a Wrap!"  I want to see a gift, ribbon or a bow on your project.  I've used the ribbon from the tree.   I love this little Santa, I thought of how exhausted this little guy must be after Christmas.  I'm sure we can all relate!  If you can find a few minutes in your week, join us for this week's challenge.  You can use the link below.  Meanwhile, you can take a look at the girlfriends projects and see how they are wrapping up this holiday.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.  I will be back next Tuesday to announce the top picks!

Challenge #423 - Christmas Critters

Happy Wednesday, Friends! It's Kate here and I'm thrilled to be hosting this week's challenge: Christmas Critters. I'd like to see some Christmas Critters being showcased on your projects.

For my card, I chose to use Santa's favourite critters, his reindeer! You can use any sort of Christmas critter though. Perhaps a mouse peeking out of a Christmas stocking, or a cat wearing Santa's hat, or a pup wrapped in a string of Christmas lights. There are lots of fun images and die cuts out there so I hope you'll join along!

Please link up your project below. I look forward to seeing what you create!

Challenge # 422 - Foodie

It's Brenda here and I'm am your challenge hostess this week. Since we just celebrated Thanksgiving here in the US, I thought it would be fun to have everyone show their "Foodie" side. Anything having to do with food or beverages is what I am looking for. Here's what I came up with -

I'm not sure why my New Year's cards alway feature champagne, I don't even really care much for champagne, but I do love this stamp!

I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide to do with this challenge. I most certainly hope you will join us. I know the Girlfriends are going to rock this challenge, so follow their links for a closer look at their creations. Thanks for stopping by today!
Aloha,
Brenda

Challenge # 421 - Let's Get Sketchy

Happy Wednesday, all!  We've got something a little different for you this week.  We've got a sketch!  And here it is....

Now, I'm gonna tell you a little secret.....I'm not the least bit upset when people take liberties with sketches.  I've always thought that sketches should be the jumping point for inspiration, not a map of exactly how a card should be made.  So, feel free to add embellishments and a sentiment, like the sketch says.  Not feeling circle-y? Use a different shape!  Want to be a rebel and put the rectangle ON TOP of the circle?  Got for it!  Turn it 90ยบ?  Yeppers!  Not the adventurous type and want to make your card EXACTLY like the sketch, of course that works too.  Just as long as we can see the original sketch somewhere in your creation, it's all good.

And remember, you can do a layout or tag or bookmark or altered project - any paper craft is in!

So, this is what I did.....

I did stick fairly close to the sketch, but it was my sketch, after all, might have seemed weird if I didn't.  ;-)

If you'd like more inspiration be sure to check out the wonderful projects the Girlfriends have created. Then, head back here and link up.

Can't wait to see what you create!

Challenge #419 Harvest Time

Hi there!
We have a new challenge this week - Harvest Time! We are finally getting some chilly weather around here.  We will be traveling to Indiana to share Thanksgiving with my family. I am so excited but I'm seeing the weather and it's going to be COLD!  I love the autumn season, and so for this week, I want to see items related to fall.  You can use a turkey, pumpkin, leaves, etc.  You get the idea!  Here's my creation.

The girlfriends have come up with some great inspiration.  You can link up your project below.

Featured "Owl About Me" Projects (Challenge #418)

Thanks so much to all who joined in for last week's "Owl About Me" challenge. It was fun to see all the owl and bird stamps and supplies - although I must admit I ended up with a bit of stamp envy!

Here are a few projects that caught my eye.

Congratulations, ladies!! Please grab your badge from the sidebar and join us again this week for another challenge!

Challenge #418 - Owl About Me

Hello friends! It's Kate here and it's my turn to host this week's challenge. I've chosen the theme "Owl about me" - use owls (or birds) on your projects.

Earlier this year (or perhaps even last year!) I received a free owl die in a carding magazine. One of the reasons I chose the theme for this challenge is so I would get out the die and actually use it!

Now it's your turn! Pull out your owl/bird stamps, dies, sentiments, decals and join us for this week's challenge. I can't wait to see what you create!

Challenge # 417 - What's Red All Over?

Happy Wednesday, all!  The challenge this week is "What's Red All Over?" which means that we want to see projects that use red.  Now, while you don't have to use all red, or even mostly red, we need to see a fair amount of red on your projects - not just one little red heart in the corner.

This is what I did....

I did end up using mostly red, but I wanted to set a good example.  :-)

If you'd like more inspiration be sure to check out the wonderful projects the Girlfriends have created. Then, head back here and link up.

Can't wait to see what you create!
