Challenge #871 - We Didn't Start the Fire

Kate here with another Billy Joel-inspired challenge. This week, I'm using "We Didn't Start the Fire". As the song is all about historical events of the mid-1900s, feel free to create something to do with history or memories (from any era - even a scrapbook page from last week's neighbourhood barbeque!). You can also be a bit more literal (like me!) and create something to do with fire, whether that be a birthday cake with candles, a fireplace, a campfire or even a dog at a fire hydrant.

I love camping and created this card for my husband. We're actually camping as this post gets published!

Please check out the incredible creations of the talented Little Red Wagon Girlfriends (marked DT) below. We'd love for you to link up a "We Didn't Start the Fire" project too!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #870 - Card Plus (decorate an envelope, make an envelope, use and envelope somehow)

It's Brenda here with what I realized now is rather a confusing challenge title, Card Plus.  The challenge is to do something with an envelope.  As the title suggests, you could make your own, or decorate one up, the emphasis is on the envelope.  You could even create a scrapbook layout or journal ephemera which includes an envelope.  Just get an envelope of some kind in somehow.  I went with decorating some junk envelopes and created a "flip flop journal.

It went from this stack of junk envelopes-

to this journal -

I can't wait to see how you interpret this challenge.  Be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have created by following the links in the sidebar to their blogs.

Challenge # 869 - One Thing

Happy Wednesday, all!  This week the challenge is "One Thing" which means we want to see just one of something on your project.  It could be one colour, one layer, one type of embellishment, one piece of patterned paper, one word, one stamp....as long as there's just one of something - it's in!

And remember, we're not just about cards!  We'd love to see you tag, scrapbook layout, pocket page, bookmark, journal, altered item - any papercraft goes!

This is what I did.....

As you can see, I've got lots of "ones" on there.....one patterned paper, one image, one piece of twine, one bow, one button, one paper snowflake, one enamel dot and one tag.

If you'd like more inspiration, do check out what the other Girlfriends have made.  Then, head on back here and link up your project.

Can't wait to see what you create!
