Challenge #374 ~ Hello 2017

Welcome to our last challenge of 2016.  It's Heather and I am the hostess for this challenge.  My theme is HELLO 2017 ~ New Year's theme.  I would like to see projects that represent New Year's to you.

Here is my take on it ~ traditional in both theme and colour for New Years.  Stamp is Kraftin`Kimmie ``Let`s Celebrate``.

Challenge #373 Follow the Star

Hi Everyone!

This is the week that it all happens! I hope that you're all ready.  This week's challenge is Follow the Star.  Stars are so much a part of Christmas - maybe a star atop your tree, or the starry night that baby Jesus was born.  All you need to do is have a star or two on your paper creation. I chose a stamp from Morning Star for my card.  I used a matte finish silver, embossed the manger and star and added a rhinestone to the star.  I love the simplicity of it of this card.  Please join us this week, I can't wait to see your star-studded creations!

Christmas Carols/Songs

It's Kate here and I admit to singing Christmas carols since November this year. I love the old, traditional ones that my Gran used to sing and I love the contemporary ones that I'm just learning. I thought it would be fun to incorporate Christmas carols and songs into this week's challenge and am asking that you use a line from one of your favourite Christmas carols in your sentiment (or somehow incorporate a line into your project).

For my card, I let some graphic paper do most of the work but added a little angel (although I think she might be a fairy-turned-angel with her wand!) to announce the joyful news of the first Christmas. My Christmas carol is "Joy to the World". How perfect that I had a sentiment with just those words!! Please check out what the rest of the Girlfriends have created for this challenge and then link up your own Christmas carol/song project! We can't wait to see what you create (and know that I'll be singing your songs up here in Canada)!!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #370- Chilly Friends

Hey there! I'm the hostess this week here at Little Red Wagon. This week I have chosen a theme called Chilly Friends. I would love to see some Penguins, Polar Bears and maybe even a Yetti!!! Let's see all the fun Chilly Friends everyone posts.

I used the new My Favorite Things stamps called Polar Bear Pals. I colored them with my Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol.

Challenge #368 It's Embossable!

Hi Everyone!
It's another week here at Little Red Wagon and we have a new challenge up for you - It's Embossable!  For my card creation I used a swirl embossing folder and highlighted the embossing with  silver metallic chalk, just to make it pop a little bit. You can use either an ink or dry embossing method - LOTs of options here!  Add your creation to the link below and remember this challenge will end next Tuesday.

Challenge #365 - Stencil It!

Welcome to Challenge #365! If you've played along with each and every Little Red Wagon challenge, you've created the equivalent of one year's worth of projects!

It's Kate here and I'm happy to be this week's hostess. I'm challenging you to "Stencil It!" Get those stencils out of your craft wagons and put them to work! There are so many creative ways to use stencils with paints, watercolours, water, stains, etc., that you've got lots of options. I decided to use texture paste with a snowflake stencil to create my snowy background.

Challenge # 361 - Bear With Me

Happy Wednesday, all!  This week....well....I need you all to bear with me....or rather "Bear With Me".  What's the meaning of that?  Well, we just want to see projects with a bear or bears.  So think, grizzly, polar, teddy and any bear in between!  And remember, we're not just about cards, any paper project is welcome.

Poor wee bear got himself into a bit of a scrape.  Hopefully he'll be feeling better in no time!
