Challenge #781 - White Lightning

It's our first November challenge and we're starting things off with lightning - White Lightning, that is. In keeping with my Def Leppard-inspired challenges this year, I thought White Lightning would work for anything weather related.

I made a Christmas card with a snow-embossed background. You can chose any sort of weather to include on your creation.

If you need some more inspiration, please check out the Girlfriends' projects below. They're all marked with DT. Once you've got your project done, we'd love for you to link it up below!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #780 - Sweet Treats

Welcome to a new Little Red Wagon Challenge.  Depending on where in the world you live, today or tomorrow, is Halloween.  Since not everyone participates in Halloween, I tried to pick a topic that could be Halloween or otherwise; Sweet Treats.  For this challenge I would love to see you include sweets on your project.  Any kind of sweets will do for example, candy, cupcakes, brownies, and remember, any type of paper craft will be embraced.  It doesn't have to be a card.

Here is what I've made -

I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of goodies you share with us this week.  Be sure to stop by and check out the sweets from the Girlfriends, I'm sure they will be delicious!

Challenge # 779 - Emboss It!

Happy Wednesday, all!  This week the challenge is all about embossing!  You can use heat embossing, an embossing folder, use a scoring tool to create embossed-look lines - we'll even accept foiling and letterpress techniques for this challenge.

And remember, we're not just about cards!  We'd love to see your scrapbook layout, tag, altered item, bookmark, pocket page, journal...any papercraft goes!

This is what I did.....

I went with a snowflake embossing folder on the patterned paper and a swirly embossing folder on the butterflies.  Also the sentiment is foiled.  (I know it's hard to see here.  I've got a closeup on my personal blog.)

If you would like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.  Then, head back here and link up your project.

Can't wait to see what you create!

Challenge #776 - Lady Strange

I'm back with another Def Leppard-inspired challenge - Lady Strange. I'm looking for anything unique - a repurposed item, interesting embellishment, etc.

I created some little treat bags for Hallowe'en. Instead of using ribbon or twine for the bows, I used some medical gauze.

I'm so excited to see what unique ideas you come up with! If you need some more inspiration, check out the Girlfriends' projects (marked DT) below.

Challenge # 774 - Sew What?

Happy Wednesday, all.  This week the challenge is "Sew What?" which mean we want to see those projects that have stitching on them.  The stitching can be machine sewing, stitched dies, faux stitching, cross-stitching, patterned paper with stitching on it, embroidery or even a make about sewing.  As long as there's some sort of stitching on it - it's in!

And remember, we aren't just about cards.  We'd love to see your scrapbook layout, tag, bookmark, pocket page, altered item, mixed media project....any papercraft goes!

This is what I did.....

I used stitched dies as well as paper with stitching on it.

If you would like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the other Girlfriends got up to.  Then, come on back here to link up your project.

Challenge # 772 - Sympathy

Hello and welcome back to a brand new challenge. It's me, Imke and I have this theme for you this week:

"Sympathy"

Dying is part of life. Unfortunately the older I get, the more often I need a condolence card. I think a bit of color is always good - but still stylish and appropriate for the occasion. Translated, the saying means: Mourning is loving remembering.

I'm excited to see what you make of it. Sympathy cards are different in every country.

And don´t forget, you can link to anything that fits the topic - not just cards. Link your project below using the Linkytool. And take a look at the works of my girlfriends. They are linked with a "DT" in the name.

Challenge #771 - Featured project

It seems that last week's Rocket (space or sky) challenge was not a hit. However, Arlene from Sundaystamper Papercrafts made this fabulous card using alcohol inks for the background. Doesn't it look "out of this world"?

Thanks, Arlene, for adding your card to our challenge. Please be sure to grab our badge to post on your blog!

Challenge #771 - Rocket

I'm back with another Def Leppard-inspired challenge. This time, I've chosen the song "Rocket" and I'm looking for anything with space (or even the sky).

I made a little gift bag with a cute character rocketing through space.

For inspiration, check out the Girlfriends' projects below (marked DT). I'd be delighted to have you join us as well - and can't wait to visit your blogs to admire your creations.

#770 - Put It in Neutral

It's past time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  This week, it's me, Brenda, asking to see your projects created with primarily neutral colors.  Neutral colors are considered to be "muted shades that appear to lack color".  Examples of neutrals are beige, taupe, gray, cream, brown, black and white.  A little color is good since neutrals complement primary and secondary colors.  As you can see, I've gone with gray, which right now is my favorite neutral.

The sentiment on this card seems very fitting today.  My apologies for being late  I'm going to blame it on all the sawdust I've been inhaling lately...actually I just got distracted and forgot.

I do hope you will still join us this week.  Remember, we love seeing all your paper projects, not just cards.  I look forward to seeing your creations.  Please drop in to see what the Girlfriends have creating if you haven't already.  I know I can't wait to see what they have created.
