Challenge #678 - Yesterday

Happy Wednesday! Even though it's today, our theme this week is "Yesterday", another Beatles-inspired challenge. I'm looking for vintage creations or vintage elements.

This week, I opted to make a home decor piece for Christmas. I started with some extra lumber that my son used while fixing our fence following a derecho earlier this year. I sawed it down to 5x5, painted it, added an image (which I printed in reverse), beat up with wood with a hammer and fork, and finally added jute, twine and a little bell (to which I added grey to remove the shiny newness).

The Story

One day a group of girlfriends got together to play with their papers, stamps, markers, ribbons, buttons and the rest of their seemingly endless supply of other 'have-to-have' scrapbooking and card making goodies. It was so much fun to talk, share, laugh and create with each other that they decided to create a blog that would motivate, inspire and challenge them on a weekly basis to use some of the supplies they have acquired. They also thought it would be fun to have all the other girlfriends out there join in and share their creations based on the weekly challenges. So, grab your wagon full of goodies (we know you have one!), get creative and have fun!
