Challenge #801 - I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues

Happy April! In keeping with my Elton John-inspired challenge themes this year, I've chosen "I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues" this week. Simply include the colour blue on your project, whether it be a scrapbook page, home décor, a tag, a card, or any other paper craft.

I made a set of sympathy cards using blue vellum as the background mat.

Look below for blue inspiration from the rest of the fabulous Little Red Wagon design team (marked with DT). Then, we'd be thrilled for you to link up your project too!

Challenge #800 - All Tied up - use twine, ribbon, thread on your project

Welcome all, it's Brenda here.   This week the challenge is up to me and I'm going with "All Tied Up".  I would love to see your projects tied with ribbon, twine, jute, wire to name a few examples. Here is what I did with a piece of wrinkled ribbon at the top of a tag  -

Easy peasy, right?  I hope you will be able to join us this week.  If it is inspiration that is lacking, visit the Girlfriends to a sure jolt of creativity.  I can't wait to see how you make it " all tied up"!

Challenge # 799 - It's a Fake!

Happy Wednesday, all.  This week the challenge is "It's a Fake!" which means we want to see those faux items on your project.  It could be die cut stitching, paper that looks like ribbon, Flower Soft masquerading as snow....or something else entirely.  As long as it's not "the real deal" it's in!

And remember, we're not just about cards.  We would love to see your scrapbook layout, journal page, tag, altered item, bookmark - any papercraft goes!

This is what I did...

It's got faux stitching, as well as strategically cut and placed patterned paper pretending to be a background die and those embellishments in the corner aren't enamel dots...it's red mirror paper cut in small circles and stacked for dimension.  See, it's that easy.

If you would like more inspiration, do check out what the Girlfriends have made.  Then, head on back here and link up your project.

Can't wait to see what you create!

Challenge #796 - Tiny Dancer

Welcome to our final February challenge! This week, it's Kate here back with another Elton John-themed challenge: Tiny Dancer. I'm looking for you to use anything tiny/small on your creation. Think mice, ants, tiny embellishments, etc. Or perhaps your creation itself is tiny - like an Artist Trading Card or 3x3 card, etc.

I created a card with a tiny envelope, a little mouse and a wee heart button embellishment.

Check out the Girlfriends' projects below (marked DT for Design Team) for more inspiration and then pull out your crafting supplies to join the fun!

I chose to go with a warmer theme, but I'm sure the Girlfriends will have plenty of other inspiration for you.  Why not check out their creations.  I can't wait to see your blue creations this week.

Challenge #791 - Can You Feel the Love Tonight

It's Wednesday and my (Kate's) first time hosting at Little Red Wagon this year. As I've done the past few years, I've chosen a musical artist/group to inspire my challenge themes. This year, it's Elton John. To start things off, I've chosen a favourite of mine, Can You Feel the Love Tonight. I'm looking for anything love themed.

I'd love for you to join the fun and link up your love-themed project below. With Valentine's Day just a few weeks away, this is the perfect opportunity to create something for somebody you love!

Peek-A-Boo Featured Projects

Thanks so much to those of you who played along with my Peek-A-Boo challenge.  All the creations were outstanding, but I especially loved these two beauties -

Little Red Wagon #790 - Peek-A-Boo (use a window)

Welcome to a new year of Little Red Wagon.  It's Brenda up today challenging you to Peek-A-Boo.  I would love to see your creations (remember, it doesn't have to be a card) that feature a window of some sort.  As You can see, I've used a die to create a little window in a tree for these Gnomies.  You could even use a stamped or digital window of some sort.

Be sure to check out the Girlfriends, they always inspire!  Looking forward to seeing your creations.
